Peace Book What will we change? How will we change? We will do it by knowing where we are going, by a clear understanding of the goal. Once we have seen the goal and we know it to be true, is there anything which will deter us? Yes, there is fear. Fear is the only thing with which you can stop us from reaching the goal. Why will you be afraid? Because it is change, and change itself is something you fear. You fear change, even though it will bring you Salvation and grace. You fear change because it is different and nothing else. It is only the brave and the sure who venture into the cave of the wind to take their chances. Victory or defeat. But, I offer you certain victory—the victory over fear and everlasting safety and Joy. Can you ask for more? Yes, and you do. You ask that you are the cause of the victory. You ask that you be the creator of the Peace and the Salvation. If it comes from another, it is tarnished, because you did not accomplish it ALONE. For it is alone you have decided to come into this world, and it is alone you think you can conquer fear and find happiness. Have you done it yet? Change is the way of all things. Is it? Is there nothing perfect? Am I perfect? Are you perfect? All things I am are as I would have them be, save one. You are not as I would have you be. All things, but you, I have made as I want them. They do not have the power of choice, not as you do. But to you I gave the power of choice. It was given to you as you were begun. It is your birthright. You may choose to be happy and at Peace or you may choose to seek domination and power. They are not the same thing; they will never be. If you and all your brothers will choose to have the Peace and Joy I so much wish for, then I will be perfect. For then I will have all I can wish for. I created you to be my Joy. Will You? What is there to be changed? Is it the clothes you wear? Is it the food you eat? What is it? Listen now to the voice for Peace in you and hear the nature of the change I wish. Close your eyes and seek the answer now. Listen again. You will hear. Did you hear? If so, you have begun the change. Success is yours. You cannot fail now; you have seen the way. THE WAY IS IN LISTENING TO YOU. Now we have begun the change. Let us look at where we will go. Take a piece of paper and a writing tool and prepare to work. Make a list of 100 words which tell about how you see the world today. This is a list of words to show what you see in the world. Examples might be: - happy Make the list 100 words long. Now make a second list of 100 words. Use these words to tell how you want the world to be. You are now in charge of all creation and you shall choose how all things will be. Tell us in this list. Make this list 100 words long. Now, take the first list and circle 10 of the words in the list to represent all the other words. Pick just ten words out of the 100 to tell how you see the world today. Do the same thing to the list which tells how you would have the world be. You now have two lists of ten words. One telling of how things are and one telling of how you would have them be. Take each list and see if you can find one word which represents all the others? Do this now. Mark these words clearly. Do you know you have the power to move the world from the world of today to the world you see? No, you do not know this yet. It may have begun to occur to you, but you do not believe it yet. But you may believe you can make a change in your self. Yes, this is possible. We will begin this change now. Take the two lists and think of the two words chosen to represent the two lists. Now make a third list. This list contains the things that tell what you will change about yourself to move you from the world of today to the world you seek. Make this list as long as you want. Now circle ONE THING on this list. This one thing is where we will begin the change. How will you know the thing to circle? You will know. In fact, it is in your mind even now. Circle it. Begin this minute, to make this change. Do not delay even one minute; begin now. Stop reading and begin now. I have told you of the Goal and of the Process; now we come to the Change. How will you begin? If you have seen the truth in these pages, you will never be the same again. The knowledge, as little of it as you have, will change you forever. What will be the mark of your change? How will it begin? Like the first step on the Path, the first change is the most important. It is the way you will test yourself. It is the way you will announce to all, however quietly, you are changing. Think long on how you will begin the change. It is important that you find a way which will bring you success. But also realize that the change has begun already. It began when you first saw the Light in these pages. Darkness will never be the same, now that you know the Light. Begin the change with a voice of Joy. Begin with a song of happiness, for you have begun the journey to salvation. You have begun for you and for countless others. Without you, we cannot succeed; we will not be complete. The time you choose to make your change is yours. We will wait for you; time means nothing to us. Only you are affected by time. Only you are affected by fear and by darkness. We wish for your early release. The change begun today will take many years to complete, more than you may understand. But the change, once begun, will bring you home as surely as I am your father. Will you begin the Change today? Ah, the Joy you bring as you move all of us to Peace. As you complete your actions to move the world into the light of Peace, be sure all others who read this will do the same. Together we will make the world a different place. It will not be a place of war. You will no longer need war. It will not be a place of domination of one over the other. It will be a place of change through COOPERATION AND SHARING. You have begun this change for all of us. Do you feel the Joy of giving it to us? Do you feel the Joy of the gifts of the others who are giving as you are? Do you feel the change? I do. Change is often a time of difficulty and turmoil. The change you will make now will not be without effort. But, this change will be different from all other changes. This change will bring you Joy and Peace. This change will give you the certain knowledge you are on the path home. As you begin this change, you will often wander off into your mind. Day-to-day things will interfere often. However, you will learn to recognize the value of the time you spend in changing. It will not be without effort, but it will be a calm period in your otherwise chaotic Journey. Be still; listen for the voice for truth. Listen for the voice for God. Listen for Me. I will be there to let you know you are making progress. I will give you the Peace you seek, even as you seek it. This is how you will know I am with you. Change bit by bit, but change. You will often be worried you are not changing or not changing fast enough. Look back from time to time and you will see the great distance you have come. The Change is as sure as I am. Some changes will come in a blaze of glory. Some will come small bit by small bit. Be patient; they will all come. Looking back will let you know the reality of your change. It will bring you the knowledge of the certainty of the change. As you see the reality of the change, you will have even more comfort and energy for more change. Do not hurry. The lessons must be learned deeply. You must know the value of the change and the value of coming home. You must feel the certainty of the Truth. You must be at Peace as you change. Each step in the Change will come to you. Be patient, but work at changing. Work every day. |
